  • find authoritative research guides on any legal subject;
  • search over 1,000 reputable legal websites selected by InSITE; and
  • discover what law professors think of your chosen issue.

InSITE, a current awareness service that reviews legal websites, recently received a face lift.  From the homepage, you can now conduct a basic search of all website reviews or search every website ever included in InSITE.  This powerful search includes the best of the legal web, hand vetted by expert legal researchers.

All these specialized engines can be added to your iGoogle homepage.

Microsoft Live Books Teams with Cornell Law Library

Wondering what all those green slips are in the library stacks?  Does it seem like the shelves are a little empty? It's all because the Law Library is part of a Cornell University Library cooperative program with Microsoft Live Books to digitize 100,000 volumes in the university’s collection that are in the public domain. Over the winter break, approximately 7,500 volumes were pulled from the Law collection to be digitized.  If you are looking for a book and it is not on the shelf, check its catalog entry to see if it has been sent to be digitized. You will be able to get the book you need through Interlibrary Loan, and soon it will be available in digital form.  You can read more about this Large-Scale Digitization Initiative (LSDI) here, or visit the LSDI wiki here. Search the Microsoft digitized collection here.
