Starr Foundation Meeting, Fisole, Italy, 2005The Cornell Law Library, in cooperation with the New York University School of Law Library under a Starr Foundation Grant, is proud to present the Fifth Starr Foundation Workshop. This year’s topic is “Tapping into the World of Electronic Legal Knowledge.”

This workshop continues a prestigious series of similar events organized under the Starr banner in:

  • New York, 2000
  • Melbourne, 2000
  • Beijing, 2002
  • Cape Town, 2003

The principal aim of this year’s workshop is to help establish and further develop the framework and research strategy of a legal information electronic infrastructure in participating law libraries from:Starr Foundation Meeting, Cape Town, South Africa, 2003

  • Nigeria
  • Tanzania
  • Zambia

Milestones

  • Some other partners, such as
  • Yerevan State University School of Law Library, in Armenia, and Tsinghua University Law Library in China largely benefited from the permanent contact and expertise of their colleagues. They now have a basic infrastructure supporting electronic legal research and subscription to major databases paid for by the Starr Foundation through the NYU School of Law Library.
